Background

The client, a multi-national manufacturing leader, operated with isolated ERP and CRM systems across three continents. This fragmentation led to massive data silos, inconsistent reporting, and a "delayed-reaction" approach to inventory management.

Challenge

The primary obstacle was system interoperability. Sales teams were using legacy CRM tools that didn't talk to the production floor, leading to over-promising on lead times and under-utilizing warehouse capacity. They needed a single source of truth that could handle multi-currency, multi-language, and complex tax compliance across regions.

Solution

Appia architected a comprehensive Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Sales deployment.

  1. Data Cleansing & Migration
Audited and migrated over 10 years of legacy data into a unified Azure Data Lake to ensure historical accuracy before the cutover.
  2. Core Module Deployment
Implemented D365 Sales and Supply Chain Management, integrating them with Power BI for real-time executive dashboards.
  3. Custom Automation & AI
Developed custom Power Automate workflows to handle automated procurement approvals and predictive maintenance alerts for the manufacturing floor.
  4. Global Rollout & UAT
Conducted User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all 12 entities, followed by a phased regional rollout to ensure zero downtime for active production lines.

Results

The transformation turned a reactive supply chain into a predictive one. Leadership now has a Real-Time Global View of every order, from the initial lead in the CRM to the final shipment in the ERP. The integration of Power BI has shortened the monthly financial closing cycle from 14 days down to just 3.
